Program requirements: Requires Windows 3.1 To Setup the program: Place the setup disk in drive A. In the Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu. Type a:setup and press Enter. Program use: To move around the screen you have the choice of using: 1. Tab and backtab keys. 2. The mouse. 3. The Alt key with the Underlined character In input fields: All numbers are allowed. The decimal point is allowed. You can not use the negative sign. The Enter key defaults to command button Add. Otherwise it executes the button that is highlighted. To quit use the MS Window 3.1 menu in the upper left corner. Output is displayed in 3 formats: 1. Vertically at right. 2. Horizontally at the bottom. 3. In standard time format in center. All output fields are limited to 9 characters. (Range -99,999,999 thru 999,999,999) All fields are normalized within the parameters you set with the Output configuration menu. Approximation is used when: Determining a month (field in Red). A month is = to Year/12 or 4.348214285714 weeks. Determining a year. A year is = 52.17857142857 weeks. This is the number of weeks in an average year over a 4 year span. (Including February 29.) Most time calculations month & year should be unnecessary. They were added to give more flexibility to the program. Output configuration menu: Default -> upto weeks: Seconds -> Weeks. upto hours: Seconds -> Hours. all : Seconds -> Years. all except months: Seconds -> Years w/o Months. upto months: Seconds -> Months. The currently active menu option has a checkmark next to it. If you change output configuration after calculations have already begun it will convert the output amounts accordingly. All not usable input fields are cleared and input is restricted. If you have used month or year fields changing is not recommended as you will lose a second. Also when converting large amounts to smaller units of time you may cause a field overflow. If the Year field overflows output fields will be cleared. This is also true of a negative field overflow. Otherwise TimeCalc will reconfigure it's output to retain the overflowed value.
